Hyundai has confirmed the name of its upcoming all-electric sub-compact vehicle: INSTER. The name is derived from "intimate" and "innovative," reflecting the vehicle's design philosophy and Hyundai's commitment to advancing electric mobility. The INSTER evolves from the Korea-exclusive, petrol-powered CASPER introduced in 2021, representing a significant step forward in Hyundai’s EV lineup.
Design Features
The teaser images reveal a robust yet compact SUV profile, characterized by signature LED daytime running lights. The INSTER's design includes pixel-graphic turn signals and tail lamps, showcasing Hyundai’s distinct EV design identity. These elements highlight the vehicle’s modern aesthetics and technological sophistication.
Performance and Range
Hyundai has outlined the INSTER's targeted maximum range of 355 km (WLTP) on a single charge. This range positions the INSTER as a competitive option in the sub-compact EV segment, offering a balance of efficiency and practicality for everyday use.
